Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership

Explore three of our native habitat gardens, as well as several gardens across Marin and Sonoma.

  1. Town Park native plant demonstration garden

  2. Neil Cummins outdoor classroom

  3. Hall Middle School native habitat landscape

Enjoy this FREE self-guided public outreach and education program that promotes sustainable landscaping practices by showcasing inspiring gardens throughout Sonoma and Marin counties. ​

 

GARDEN #1: TOWN PARK native plant demonstration garden

Over 80 different species in our demonstration garden, as well as an habitat restoration at the lagoon. 

Also present will be the CORTE MADERA CLIMATE ACTION COMMITTEE who will be hosting a kid-friendly rock painting activity alongside tips and resources on creating a beautiful, water-smart yard. ZERO WASTE MARIN will also be sharing information on how to best manage your waste.

 

GARDEN #2 Outdoor classroom on the NEIL CUMMINS Elementary School campus

Learn how the school operates an outdoor classroom that's bursting with fruit, veggies, herbs, bird houses and bird bath as well as low-water irrigation features.

 

GARDEN #3: Native plant landscape in front of HALL MIDDLE School, Larkspur

Recently planted, come and learn about our work and find your new favorite plant. We're excited to be joined by MARIN WATER at this location who will be on hand to answer any of your pressing water queries! You can also walk across to the new Larkspur Library where you'll find our latest native habitat garden in the process of being planted.
